With the 2017 Jackson County Tournament tipping off on Monday, it's time for me to make my annual tournament game predictions. Here goes:

Varsity Girls

› Quarterfinals

Skyline vs. Woodville — The No. 3 Vikings get started right on their quest to reach the county finals for a fourth time in five seasons. Skyline 72, Woodville 49

NSM vs. North Jackson — No. 4-seeded NSM defeated No. 5 North Jackson back in December. This game is on North Jackson's home court, so I think the Chiefs get revenge. North Jackson 48, NSM 45

› Semifinals

Pisgah vs. North Jackson — The Eagles earn the right to play for a third straight title. Pisgah 68, North Jackson 55

Section vs. Skyline — The Vikings' will have revenge on their minds when they face No. 2 Section, the team that handed them their first loss. Skyline 53, Section 52

› Championship

Pisgah vs. Skyline — The teams played a down-to-the-wire game on Dec. 16 and faced off again on Friday. The teams are similar, guard-oriented teams and the winner will be the team that limits turnovers and converts their opponent's turnovers into easy points. Pisgah 63, Skyline 58

Varsity Boys

› Quarterfinals

Section vs. NSM —No. 3-seeded Section starts its quest for a 10th straight county finals appearance by defeating head coach Jamie Pruett's alma mater. Section 81, NSM 67

Pisgah vs. Woodville — No. 4-seeded Pisgah continues its recent stretch of good play with a first-round win. Pisgah 72, Woodville 60

› Semifinals

Skyline vs. Pisgah — The top-seeded Vikings return to the finals for the first time since 2013. Skyline 75, Pisgah 62

North Jackson vs. Section — The home team gets it done and keeps its bid for a three-peat alive. North Jackson 60, Section 58

› Championship

Skyline vs. North Jackson — The top-seeded Vikings will have quite the challenge on their hands against the 4A Chiefs on the Chiefs' home court. But Skyline has been good at answering challenges so far this season. Skyline 74, North Jackson 71
