Education uses a multitude of tasks, activities, and actions to be truly beneficial for students.  Class field trips can help children make the connection between lessons learned in the classroom and practical application in the real world.

Anyone who knows me is aware of my love of quotations.  I used them during my teaching career as prompts for journal writing.  I use them in letters, post them on my Facebook wall, toss them into conversations sometimes.

My brother Alan and I are what is commonly known as Irish twins (10 month age difference).  Due to birthdays, we started school the same year.
