Pisgah High School Class of 2020
This week’s outstanding youth was an All A student in high school and plans to enter the nursing field. Jaci Moore is a member of the Pisgah High School Class of 2020.
Jaci was active in many organizations during her high school years. She served as president of FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) and vice president of NEHS.
As an All A student Jaci was a member of Beta Club. This led to her participation in the SOAR Program which recognizes students making All A’s and A’s and B’s.
Jaci was named to the top five percent of the Class of 2020 in Jackson County. She was also a member of FFA (Future Farmers of America) and Mu Alpha Theta, a math honor society, along with the Spanish and History Clubs.
This top student will be attending Northeast Alabama Community College on an academic scholarship. After she completes her studies there, Jaci plans to transfer to the University of Alabama in Huntsville and earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. After working for a few years, she plans to get her master’s degree and become a nurse practitioner.
“When I got the news that we wouldn’t be returning to school, I was in shock and also sad,” said Jaci. “We are still getting a prom and graduation, but it doesn’t completely make up for the memories we didn’t get to make.”
When this busy young lady has free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Jaci also likes to shop.
Jaci is the youngest child of Terry and Melissa Moore. Her siblings are Jordan and Jameson Moore. Her grandparents are Marvogene Barrentine Gant and the late Leon Gant and Betty Moore Leroy and the late Thomas Moore.
She attends Rosalie Baptist Church.
