If you can’t make it to Pisgah Saturday night for the finals of the Jackson County Basketball Tournament, WWIC Radio has you covered.

WWIC owner Greg Bell said he reached out to Pisgah boys head coach Woody Beard about broadcasting the games.

“He gave me an immediate ‘absolutely,’” said Bell. “The Jackson County tournament is a great basketball event, and as the local sports leader in Jackson County, we excited to partner with The Jackson County Sentinel on airing these games.”

Bell said no one covers local sports as well as [Sentinel Sports Editor] Jason Bowen.

“It’s the perfect partnership in bringing the games to fans that cannot attend,” added Bell.

Bell said there will be across the board access with WWIC 1050 on the radio, the web player on wwicradio.com, the WWIC Radio app, WWIC Radio on Amazon Alexa, WWIC Radio on the TuneIn app and WWIC Radio on Apple Car Play.

“Fans can listen on whatever device they choose,” said Bell.
