A Paint Rock man is facing sexual abuse charges of a child following a Jackson County Grand Jury indictment.
According to Capt. Erik Dohring, of the Scottsboro Police Department, Justin Lamar Montgomery, 24 of Paint Rock, turned himself in Friday.
Dohring said Montgomery is charged with rape first degree, sodomy first degree, sexual abuse of a child under 12 years of age, enticing a child, incest and DUI.
“The allegations were made last December,” said Dohring. “The police department, along with DHR, investigated the case and gathered evidence.”
Dohring said there was only one victim involved.
Montgomery was placed in the Scottsboro City Jail, and then transferred to the Jackson County Jail. He was later released on an $85,500 bond.
