Scottsboro High School Principal Rob Paradise has announced the homecoming schedule for this year, beginning Thursday, Oct. 10 with the annual bonfire at Trammell Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m.

Paradise said the presentation of the queen and her court will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, at 10:55 a.m., at Hambrick Hall.

The homecoming parade will be held Friday, at 2:45 p.m., with line-up starting at 1:45 p.m. at Collins Intermediate School.

Scottsboro will face Arab that night, with kickoff set at 7 p.m.

Following the football game, the homecoming dance will take place for 9th-12th grade students only. The cost is $20 or $25 at the door.

Scottsboro City Schools will dismiss early on Friday, Oct. 11. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:15 a.m., while the secondary schools will close at 12 p.m.

Brunch/lunch will be served at all schools, and buses will run afternoon routes. There will be no after school services.

Paradise said it is requested that all observers along the parade route keep small children off the roadways and a safe distance from all floats  and parade entries.

Tickets for the football game will be available at Scottsboro High School during homecoming week for $7. Reserved seating will also be available.

Parade entries are for only city school clubs and organizations (K-12).
