Kevin McBride is seeking the position of the Jackson County Commission seat in District 4. He is the son of Andy and Frankie McBride of Langston.

McBride has lived in Jackson County for 48 years. His parents, grandparents, and their grandparents all lived in this county. He grew up in Langston with his two brothers, Garren and Brandon. He has been married for the past 29 years to his wife Amy.

They have three children, Will, Laurel, and Ella. Will is a 2019 graduate of Skyline High School. Laurel graduated in 2018 from Paint Rock Valley High School.  She is now serving in the United States Marine Corps. His youngest daughter, Ella, is a student at Skyline High School.

McBride has worked for the Jackson County School System for the past 25 years. He has been a teacher, middle school counselor, assistant principal, and principal. He developed and is the coordinator for the virtual school program in Jackson County. He is a very strong leader and active member in the county.

When asked why he wanted to run for the position of county commission he responded, “I have seen a lot of change in our county in the past forty plus years! My concern about the integrity of our roads and bridges as well as the many needs of the people in this county sparked my decision to run for the Commission. I want to be an active part in bringing positive change to our county.”

He strongly expressed the need to be transparent with the taxpayer money.

“I have learned a lot about where our funds come from and how they are spent,” said McBride.

He has spent a lot of time going out in the county and meeting its people.

“Many have similar concerns. I want to be that voice for the people,” said McBride.
