Scottsboro city schools will remain on a regular schedule today, according to Superintendent Dr. Jay Reyes.

“The radar for the Weather Channel and location stations in Huntsville indicate that for Scottsboro severe weather possibilities will occur later in the afternoon or early evening,” said Reyes. “Rain chances pick up around 5 p.m. and then become higher as the evening goes on.”

Reyes said all after school activities have been canceled.

“I have asked any secondary after-school sports practices to end by 3:30 p.m.,” he added.
