The championship games are set for the 2019 Jackson County Middle School Basketball Tournament.
Top-seeded Hollywood plays second-seeded Skyline in the girls championship game on Monday at 5 p.m. at Dutton School, followed by the boys title game between top-seeded Rosalie and third-seeded Flat Rock.
Here are Thursday’s semifinal results:
Hollywood 51, Macedonia 19 — No. 1-seeded Hollywood improved to 17-0 on the season with a semifinal victory over fourth-seeded Macedonia.
The Hawks led 10-3 after one quarter before extending their advantage to 28-6 at halftime and 46-15 after three quarters.
MyCaiden Wilborn scored a game-high 28 points for Hollywood while Alex Wright added nine, Casia Coffey had eight, Kat Patton had four and Dlayla Andrews had two.
Precious Parks led Macedonia with seven points while Dixie Sparks netted five, Shelby Putman four and Lynn-Zee Young two.
Skyline 34, Rosalie 21 — The defending champion second-seeded Vikings outscored third-seeded Rosalie 18-8 in the second half to advance to the finals.
Skyline led 4-3 after one quarter and 16-13 at halftime before opening up a 27-15 lead after three quarters.
Kiana King paced Skyline with 15 points while Jaslynn Wilkinson netted nine and Audra Bellomy had five.
For Rosalie, Destiny Gann scored eight points while Hannah Bates had six and Jaylin Williams had five.
Rosalie 74, Hollywood 51 — A big second-quarter surge helped the top-seeded Tigers eliminate the defending champion.
Already in front 17-10 at the end of the first quarter, Rosalie outscored fifth-seeded Hollywood 21-7 in the second to carry a 38-17 lead into halftime. The Tigers led 58-41 after three quarters.
Koda Moore scored 27 points and Legion McCrary netted 21 for Rosalie, which also got nine points from Talon Lang, eight from Levi Horton and five from Sawyer Wilborn.
Keelan Alvarez led Hollywood with 17 points while Erik Rayburn had 13, Dimitre Patides had 11 and Clay Oliver had eight.
Flat Rock 51, Skyline 47 — Flat Rock avenged two regular-season losses to Skyline to advance to the finals for the second time in three seasons.
The Vikings lost to Skyline 42-38 on Oct. 22 and 50-41 on Oct. 29.
In the teams’ semifinal matchup, Flat Rock led 13-9, 28-22 and 41-35 at the quarter breaks.
Carson Ellison scored 16 points for Flat Rock while Tyler Grider had 13 and Sam Schrimsher had 12.
Bryant Kennamer scored a game-high 24 points for Skyline, which also got nine from Eli Sanders.
