Mr. and Mrs. Tony Michael Lea, of Ider, AL, announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Careyee Lea, to David Brantley Gentry, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. David Brantley Gentry of Aliceville, AL.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. Z. Lea, the late Mr. Jimmy Barrentine, the late Mr. Raymond (Bud) Daniels and Mrs. Sue Daniels, and the late Mr. Clyde Smith and Mrs. Wanda Smith.
Brittany is a 2003 graduate of Ider High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. She is currently employed with the Shelby County School System.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Phillips of Union Springs, AL, and the late Dr. James Gentry, Sr., and Mrs. Peggy Gentry of Aliceville.
Brant is a 2002 graduate of Pickens Academy and a 2006 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
The wedding will be held at Ider Baptist Church on January 15, 2011, at 4:00 in the afternoon. No local invitations will be sent. The couple cordially invites all friends and relatives to attend.
