Lion's Club

Nov. 14 was World Diabetes Day; and Dr. Hardin Coleman, Rhonda McDavid (Executive Director of Camp Seale Harris), and Lori Sullivan (daughter of Lion Ted Crona) spoke to the Scottsboro Lions and talked about the causes and treatment of diabetes.  Since the 80s Camp Seale Harris has been a place where diabetic children can be taught how to manage their diabetes and be encouraged by their time around other children with diabetes.  About 600 children ages from infants up to 19 years attend the Camp annually which included 6 children from Jackson County this past year.  There are 9 locations of these camps including Huntsville with the largest on Lake Martin.  Also shown are Lions Ted Crona and President Mechele Mosely.
