The Whitwell Lady Tigers picked up a 65-35 win over Richard Hardy on Feb. 1. The Richard Hardy men’s team won over the Tigers with a 67-33 win.

The Whitwell Lady Tigers jumped out to a 19-11 lead after the first quarter during their game.

They increased their lead in the second, scoring 15 points to Richard Hardy’s four.

Whitwell took a 34-15 lead into the half.

The Lady Tigers won the second half, too. They outscored Richard Hardy 13-10 during the third quarter and 18-10 in the fourth to secure the win.

Senecca Barnett and Emily Brown led the Lady Tigers in scoring. Both had 16 points each.

Riley Hicks had 10 points, Ally Grayson had nine points, Camryn Haag had four and Hadee Headrick had four points. Allie McCurry, Abbi Cartwright and Katherine Hooper each had two points.

Gracie Cox led the Lady Hawks in scoring. She had 18 points.

Krissy Robinson had eight points, Catheryn Graham had five points, Corrissa Beasley had two points and Sydney Boggs had two points.

The Hawks’ men’s team dominated their game with the Tigers.

Richard Hardy quickly built a big lead. They put 27 points on the board in the first quarter and held the Tigers to only seven.

Richard Hardy increased their lead in the second. They outscored the Tigers 11-6.

The Hawks went into the half up 38-13.

Richard Hardy continued their dominance in the third quarter. They scored 17 points to Whitwell’s four.

Whitwell did outscore the Hawks in the final quarter 16-12, but it wasn’t enough and Richard Hardy secured the win.

Tanarrior Rainsburg and Devin Evans led the Hawks in scoring. Both had 19 points.

Simon Klompien had 11 points, T.J. Fuller had seven points, Blake Buchanan had six points and Jacob Knight had two points. Anthony Rector, Blayne Cash and Logan Wilson each had one point.

Jackson Tucker led the Tigers with six points.

Cade Floyd and Maddux Tucker both had five points each. Tanner Stewart and Hudson Petty both had four points. Joseph Spradlin and Holden Billingsly both had three points, Ethan Hooper had two points and Austin Nunley had one point.
