Scottsboro police seized 93 grams of methamphetamine Wednesday morning after patrolling an area on County Road 109.
Sgt. Ryan Putman, of the Scottsboro Police Department, said police have received reports of suspicious vehicles in the area as of late.
“It was during a routine patrol when an officer located a vehicle,” said Putman.
Putman said two people were in the vehicle and one person was found to have warrants. During an investigation, officers located 93 grams of methamphetamine, with a street value of almost $10,000, along with drug paraphernalia and pills.
“Both occupants were arrested,” said Putman.

Both Baine and Stephens were taken to the Scottsboro City Jail. At the jail, Stephens was found in possession of marijuana and charged with possession of marijuana second degree and promoting prison contraband second degree.
Both suspects were later transported to the Jackson County Jail, where they remain, Stephens on a $32, 000 bond and Baine on a $31,500 bond.
