Jackson County Republican Party Chairman Allen Keller said on Friday that three Republican incumbents have qualified for reelection.

Keller said Jackson County commissioners Melinda Gilbert and Mike Sisk, first elected in 2016, have qualified in the Republican Primary, set for March 20, 2020.

Gilbert qualified in District 3, where Mark Guffey, an assistant superintendent for Jackson County Schools, has already qualified.

Sisk is seeking reelection in District 4, while Charles West is seeking reelection on the Jackson County Board of Education.

Already qualified is Jeff Arnold for revenue commissioner and Kevin Dukes for county schools superintendent. Both are incumbents, seeking reelection.

For Circuit Judge in the Republican Primary, local attorney Daryl Eustace and Brent Benson, an assistant district attorney, have both qualified.

Keller said qualifying will continue until Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. Keller can be reached at allenkeller55@gmail.com for more information.

As of Thursday, no one had qualified in the Democratic Primary.
