A Scottsboro woman, arrested on May 19 on charges of illegal possession of prescription drugs, had her case dismissed Wednesday.

Scottsboro City Judge Daryl Eustace dismissed the charges against Jacqueline Yvonne Marshall, 67 of Scottsboro.

According to Marshall, Scottsboro police responded to a domestic call at a home.

“The police came and wanted to look through my purse,” said Marshall. “I told them I had nothing to hide.”

Marshall said she had accidently mixed arthritis medicine in a bottle of Advil, causing the arrest.

“I’ve never been in jail in my life,” Marshall said. “I just want to clear my name.”
