FNB Bank has received regulatory approval to open a banking office at 1101 Broad Street in Chattanooga, expanding their presence in the Chattanooga market which began with the 2018 acquisition of Capital Bank and its three northwest Georgia locations. Three veteran area bankers have joined the FNB Bank team to lead the Chattanooga expansion.
President & CEO Steve Rownd highlighted the importance of finding experienced and proven bankers to launch the FNB brand in Chattanooga.
“When we formulated our plans to expand in Chattanooga, we concentrated on attracting a team of veteran bankers. We searched for bankers the business community would know and recognize,” he said.
Mike Baggett, FNB Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer, announced the appointment of three bankers to lead the effort. Kevin Smith, Bryan Fryar, and Jennifer Griffin have already joined the bank and are temporarily based at FNB Bank’s Fort Oglethorpe office.
“We wanted talented bankers with strong roots in the community and good reputations,” said Baggett. “Three experienced bankers joined us in 2018 with the Capital Bank acquisition, and it is an honor to have these three additional veteran bankers, each with more than 20 years of experience, join our team.”
