State Sen. Steve Livingston has been appointed to the Energy Council by Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth.

The Energy Council is a legislative organization of 13 energy-producing states and two Canadian Provinces. The council was formed in 1975, and over the past 43 years it has served as a forum for energy related environmental policy development.

“I am thankful to Lt. Gov. Ainsworth for trusting me in this role and affording me this opportunity to serve Alabama in this capacity,” said Livingston. “I look forward to serving with colleagues from across the US to find solutions to the energy issues facing the states.”
