A Woodville High School student has been selected as the February Student of the Month at EPCOT (Earnest Pruett Center of Technology). Carlos Torres is a junior at Woodville.

Torres is a second year masonry student at EPCOT.  He is working on becoming certified in masonry at EPCOT.  His dream is to one day have his own business.

This honor student is a member of the Senior Beta Club.  Torres maintains an A and B average.  He also participates in Skills USA.

Torres is also active in three sports at his high school.  He plays on the football, basketball and baseball teams.  He has earned All-County and All-Region honors in football.

Math is this teen’s favorite school subject.

In addition to keeping up with his school activities, Torres also works part-time at Burger King.  When this busy teen has any extra time, he enjoys hunting, playing sports, and hanging out with his friends.

Torres is the son of Tara Scheirer. His grandmother is Dixie Mitchell. Torres has four sisters and one brother.
