Johnny’s Auction House in Section is hosting a benefit auction on Feb. 16 for families and victims of the boat dock fire at Jackson County Park.

Charlene Highbaugh, owner of the auction house, said all proceeds will go directly to victims and families affected by the fire. She said they just want to help with financial needs of the victims. She said they are asking for donations and items to auction. She said that people can bring anything to the auction house.

Highbaugh said they will sell new items at the benefit auction. They will have a drop off location for people to drop off items to be auctioned. She said there will be trucks and trailers available to transport items to be auctioned. The will accept donations through Feb. 13.

“We want to give back to the community, and this auction is our way of helping those in need,” said Highbaugh.

Highbaugh said she wants victims and those affected to walk out of the auction with the money in their hands. She said she would like to hear from families affected by the fire.

Johnny’s Auction House is located at 5410 Tammy Little Drive in Section.
