Cell Phone Connection

Juan Sebastian and Brisny Gaspar operate Cell Phone Connection in Scottsboro. The new business offers cell phone accessories, prepaid plans and repairs.

Juan Sebastian always wanted to own and operate his own business. He said having a business where he could sell and repair cell phone would be the easiest thing to do, so he jumped in.

He opened Cell Phone Connection on Broad Street in Scottsboro three weeks ago.

Sebastian is a Fort Payne native, but there are several stores like Cell Phone Connection in Fort Payne, so he decided to bring his business to Scottsboro. He said there are not as many stores like his in Scottsboro, and he could bring his services in Scottsboro.

Cell Phone Connection sells all kinds of cell phone accessories like phone cases, chargers and they even have a few phones for sale. Their most popular accessory are phone cases with a magnet that attaches to the air vent in a vehicle, which allows people to mount their phones in the car. The store has offers accessories for all kinds of cell phones.

Cell Phone Connection also offers prepaid cell phone plans from several providers like Verizon, h2o wireless, Boss Revolution and many others.

Prepaid phones provide the basic services of regular cell phones. However, there's no long-term contract requirements or overage charges for minutes that exceed the monthly plan. And, signing up is easy. You'll find that a prepaid cell phone works just like any other, although without a long-term commitment and some of the bells and whistles.

You buy a cell phone with a set service (number of minutes usable over a certain number of months). You can make calls or even text and picture message, depending on the phone's features, until you run out of minutes. When that happens, you can buy more minutes immediately or within a time limit. Or you can just stop using the phone.

The main advantage of prepaid cell phones is the combination of freedom and control that they offer. With a prepaid cell phone, you're not locked into a multi-year plan with a set number of minutes per month during specific calling times, additional charges if you exceed the limit and a costly fee if you break the contract. You're free to talk whenever you want, as long as you want, until you run out of minutes. And you don't have to pay a monthly bill.

Talking more one month and less the next makes no difference, and leftover minutes roll over from one month to the next. Plus, if you want to change to a different type of plan, a prepaid phone gives you the freedom to switch whenever you want.

Sebastian said customers should shop at Cell Phone Connection because there are no contracts, and everything is cheaper and easier for the customer. Sebastian also does repairs on all kinds of phones.
