One local business is helping to provide Bridgeport Middle School with financial support to help students receive a better education. Southern Heating and Cooling recently donated $2,500 to Bridgeport Middle.

“We are extremely appreciative for the financial support that Southern Heating and Cooling has provided for the students of Bridgeport Middle School,” said Bridgeport Middle School Principal Jonathan Colvin.

Colvin also said that the donation would be used to offer new opportunities for their students in STEM education, and to enhance the current offerings at Bridgeport Middle School.

“Our goal is to provide the students at Bridgeport Middle School with a world class education that will allow them to compete in the global economy, and partnerships like this give us the resources necessary to make that goal a reality,” said Colvin.

Southern Heating and Cooling President Erica Estes said that they were happy to help Bridgeport Middle School achieve its goals.

Colvin said that they sent letters out to businesses all across Jackson County, and they had received donations from several of them. The donation from Southern Heating and Cooling is the largest one Bridgeport Middle has received so far.
