A man convicted of murder in Marshall County recently escaped from Childersburg Work Release Center.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported Daniel Miner escaped from the work release facility located in Talladega County.
Miner was convicted of a murder in Marshall County that occurred in 1994. He is serving a life sentence with possibility of parole.
The work release program is run by the State Department of Corrections, but the sheriff’s office stated it was working with the Department of Corrections and Marshals Service to locate Miner.
Miner was still missing as of Monday afternoon prior to The Reporter’s deadline.
