The Highlands Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary is asking the community for newborn baby item donations to benefit the Highlands Maternity Center.

From now through Mother’s Day (May 12), there will be a drop off bin (shaped like a baby bottle) located in the lobby of Highlands Medical Center, outside the gift shop.

“For the safety of our patients, please ensure all items are new and unused,” said volunteer coordinator Betty Gallagher.

The newborn baby wish list includes receiving blankets, onesies, socks/booties, newborn mittens, newborn baby clothes, diapers, wipes, shampoo and baby body wash.

“Thank you in advance for your help,” said Gallagher.
