Authorities are searching for a Stevenson man, who was reported missing by family members Thursday.

According to Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen, of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, David Henry Higgins, 48 of Stevenson and another man went hunting for Ginseng at Champion Springs, off County Road 287 in Stevenson on Wednesday.

“The man let [Higgins] off a four-wheeler to go hunting,” said Harnen. “He said he couldn’t find him later.”

Harnen said Higgins was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and an orange and white cap.
