Looking for a fun environment to have a birthday party for your child? Look no further than the Party Zone in Scottsboro.

Located in the old Family Savings Credit Union in front of the movie theater, this is the perfect place to have birthday parties or any other celebration.

The Party Zone has two inflatable bounce houses, a trampoline, an arcade in the old bank vault, alien invasion laser tag, skee ball, electronic bowling, air hockey, foosball, pop a shot, giant connect four, a 200-book library, a toddler room, two food rooms and two refrigerators.

Neal Wooten bought the building in December. He said it was just a good investment. After a while, he realized there were no party venues in Scottsboro for kids. He lived in Milwaukee for 10 years and said Chicago has a large party venue called the Kids Zone.

He modeled the Party Zone in Scottsboro after the Kids Zone. He always wanted to open a business like this in a place that does not have a party venue, and he said Scottsboro was the perfect place.

Wooten said his inspiration for opening the business was his love for kids. He said his niece’s children are always going to parties at a venue in Boaz and there should be a venue closer to home.

He also said people do not want to clean up their houses before and after the party, and the Party Zone makes the whole party planning process much easier on the parents. He also said the Party Zone gives the kids a great deal more to do than they would have at home.

There is also an escape room at the Party Zone for adults and older kids. Wooten said no one has escaped the escape room yet. He said about twenty people have gone through the room, and no one has gotten further than halfway through the clues. You will have an hour to solve 40 clues and uncover the code to get out of the escape room. After every 10th clue, you get a number. If you solve all 40 clues, you will get a four-digit code to get out of the room. Wooten did not think it would be as difficult as it is. He said he thought people would be in and out in five minutes.

The escape room is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It costs $20 per person, and groups from 2 to 6 can test their luck in the escape room.

The Party Zone is available for parties from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in two-hour increments. Rent is $150 for two hours. You will have two rooms with tables and chairs, two refrigerators and plenty of seating.
