The Northeast Alabama Adult Education program will have its annual graduation for recipients of the GED credential and the non-traditional high school diploma on Wednesday, May 15, at 7 p.m., at the Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center in Rainsville.

The graduation will honor recipients from Jackson, DeKalb and Marshall counties.

Through adult education, many individuals have had the opportunity to get a high school equivalency credential, which has enabled them to secure or upgrade their employment or attend college or career training.

The Adult Education graduation ceremony is one way to express congratulations to those students who have worked so hard to accomplish their goals.

Any adult (including those who did not attend adult education classes) who has successfully completed the GED test or received a non-traditional high school diploma and has not previously participated in a graduation is invited to be a part of this ceremony, but pre-registration is required. All family and friends are also welcomed to attend the graduation exercises.

Those interested in participating in the Adult Education graduation, or anyone needing more information, should contact the Northeast Alabama Adult Education program at 256-638-2957 or 256-228-0021.

The program is operated and managed by Northeast Alabama Community College.
