A Flat Rock man has been charged in connection with a burglary at Mt. View Christian Academy, located on Highway 73 in Bryant, which occurred almost a year earlier.

“The scene was processed, and several items of evidence were submitted to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for analysis,” said Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen, of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Harnen said Kinley DeWayne Chambers, 43 of Flat Rock, was identified as a suspect by several investigative means, including forensic evidence.

Chambers was arrested on Oct. 10 and charged with burglary third degree and theft of property third degree.

After being placed in the Jackson County Jail, Chambers was later released on a $3,500 bond.
