Paul J. Fowler, 76 of Hollytree, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.
He was a meat market manager and retired timber cutter/logger. He loved being outdoors gardening and mowing grass. He enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and friends and talking and hanging out with everyone.
He especially liked to hide oatmeal crème pies from his grandchildren. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on Jan. 13, 2020.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at 1 p.m., at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Lynn Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Clay Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eva Carolyn Fowler; daughters, Denice (Shawn) Williams and Freida Hinshaw; grandchildren, Courtney Williams and Camra, Cadence and Connor Hinshaw; sisters, Maverine Autry, Betty Jo (Bob) Cooper, Ida Mae Jones and Kathleen Newsome; brother, Johnny (Paulette) Fowler and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Wesley Fowler and grandson, Timothy Chad Swafford.
