Jimmy Lawhorn, also known as “Santa Clause,” 66 of Pisgah, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 at Crestwood Medical Center.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 at Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shannon Paschal, Darrell Hart and Eddie Smith officiating. Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Lawhorn is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Lawhorn; son, Rodger Lawhorn and wife Becky; daughter, Heather Lawhorn and husband John; brothers, Richard Lawhorn and wife Peggy Sue and Wayne Lawhorn and wife Barbara; sisters, Elisabeth (Sissy) Jones and husband Lee, Peggy Nell Lawhorn and Karen Lawhorn; grandchildren, Isaiah Lawhorn and wife Brianna, Tyse Lawhorn and fiancé Tracie and Sadie Lawhorn, great grandchild, Gracelynn and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, S.W. and Jimmy Lou Lawhorn; sister, Shirley Lawhorn and brother, Phillip Lawhorn.
Mr. Lawhorn was a deacon at New Harmon Church for 19 years. He worked 34 years at Goodyear. After retirement, he worked his dream job with his son-in-law at John Fuller Towing & Repair.
