Edna Anderson, 92 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

Mrs. Anderson was the last charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was retired from the Scottsboro City School System. She was also at the opening of the original B.B. Comer Bridge and at the closing of it.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 1 p.m., at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lockard and Rev. Brett Hogland officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Friday, from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her children, Joan Taylor, Jane (Barry) Guerin, Larry (Beverly) Anderson and Gary (Linda) Anderson; grandchildren, Alesha (Matt) Hatto, Mandy (Jason) Williams, Shonda (Daniel) Franievic, Mandy (Jared) Shelton, Daran (Haley) Anderson, Brian (Angie) Guerin, Dustin (Sonny) Anderson, Chad (Stacey) Guerin, Todd (Danielle) Anderson, Kristin (Eric) West and Jason Taylor; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn (Buck) Anderson; son-in-law, Curt Taylor; brother-in-law, June Anderson and great-grandchildren, Garrett and Nicholas Franicevic.
