Pamela Vaughn Whittle, 63 of Scottsboro, passed away on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.

Mrs. Whittle was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church for over 50 years where she volunteered countless hours as a servant for Christ.

She worked several years in both Scottsboro City schools and Jackson County schools as a substitute teacher and special needs aide.

Mrs. Whittle had a servant’s heart and deep love to help anyone she could, especially children. Her greatest joy was her family whom she enjoyed spending time with. Mrs. Whittle was a member of the Scottsboro High School Class of 1974.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Millie Jean Downes Vaughn; father, Marion Vaughn; brother, Robert Vaughn; grandparents, Ira Vaughn, Anna Vaughn, Hansel Downes and Roscoe Downes and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Whittle; daughter, Jennifer Pritchett; son-in-law, Jacob Pritchett; grandson, Dylan Pritchett; granddaughter, Danika Pritchett; uncles, Ronald Vaughn and Larry Downes; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from 12-2 p.m., at Hollywood Baptist Church. Services will be held at Hollywood Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Pastor Brandon Gamble and Minister of Music Rylee Hancock will be officiating.

Interment will be at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
