On Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, Joseph Michael Graham Sr., 41, passed away at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville after a long battle with cancer.

Joey was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and he lived a majority of his life in Scottsboro. Joey is a graduate of Scottsboro High School, where he was member of the band and went on to march in the Million Dollar Band at the University of Alabama.

With Boy Scouts of America Troop 444, he obtained the rank of the Eagle Scout and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. Joey was a Master Mason at Scottsboro Lodge 359.

On July 17, 2004, Joey married Katherine Crona. Together, they raised three children: Joseph Jr., Thomas and Lucy Kate.

Joey is survived by his parents, John and Jackie Graham; sister, Jennifer Gossett and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joey enjoyed music, hiking, camping, Alabama football and drives through the countryside. He was known for his accepting personality, quick sense of humor and strong leadership skills. He was an amazing husband, father, son and brother. His smile and eyes would brighten any room he entered.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at 1 p.m., at Broad Street Church of Christ. Visitation will start at 10 a.m.
