Saying goodbye from the circulation department
I know goodbyes are never easy, but today I am saying goodbye to the person who has been my “right hand man” for almost two years now. LaShell, my circulation assistant, has been offered an opportunity she cannot pass up.
Although, I am happy for her and wish her only the best, it is hard to accept she is leaving us. She is that pleasant, friendly voice you hear when you call and the big smile with a big personality and excellent customer service skills that you see on the other side of the counter when you come in.
She has had her plate full between taking care of our subscribers’ needs, keeping me updated and reminding me of my appointments and schedules, stepping up and taking some of the load I carry off of me.
As you all are aware we have had many different faces behind that counter over the years, but not many that has had the compassion and enthusiasm she has. I truly appreciate all that she has done for us here and I know everyone here will miss her at The Daily Sentinel. As I am currently looking for someone to fill her position, I can say whoever it may be has some very large shoes to fill.
Today, I want to thank you, LaShell, for the dedication you showed and all of the hard work you did. It has been an honor to get to know you, work with you and to have you as my assistant.
