Jade Rogers has been named the new head volleyball coach at North Jackson.

Rogers is a former three-sport athlete at Ider High School and was hired last week as an aide at NJHS.

She was formally introduced as head coach during a players/parents meeting Friday afternoon at North Jackson.

It’s her first coaching position.

“I’m excited but I’m a little nervous too,” said the 2009 IHS graduate.

“I like to win. We’re going to work hard and be a team.”

Rogers is married to North Jackson head baseball coach Ryan Rogers.

“Jade Rogers will be an asset to our staff and to our volleyball program at NJHS,” said North Jackson principal Rob Paradise. “She is a winner. She played volleyball herself, has an understanding of the game and a desire to grow our program to the level of excellence we expect at NJHS.”
