The Scottsboro volleyball team got a split decision during its final home matches of the season.

The Wildcats had a two-set sweep of Pisgah and a three-set setback to DAR during a tri-match at Carter Gymnasium on Thursday.

The games were played on Breast Cancer Awareness Night.

Scottsboro defeated Pisgah 25-18, 25-15. Samantha Hood recorded 10 assists, four kills and five digs for Scottsboro while Nhi Le posted four kills, two aces and seven digs and Abby Jones had four kills and four digs. 

The Wildcats dropped a close 19-25, 25-16, 12-15 match to DAR. Le finished with 11 kills and six digs while Jones had six kills and Emily Garner had five kills and seven digs. Anna Lusk totaled 20 digs while Hood and Megan Vosen both had 10 assists.

Scottsboro begins postseason play on Tuesday. The Wildcats play host Guntersville at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the single-elimination Class 5A Area 14 Tournament. The winner advances to the finals and also clinches a berth in the Class 5A North Super Regional.

Pisgah plays Sylvania in the semifinals of the Class 3A Area 14 Tournament on Monday at Plainview High School in Rainsville.
