The Scottsboro baseball team suffered a pair of setbacks during a split doubleheader Saturday.

The Wildcats dropped a 10-o decision to host Russellville before falling 8-5 to Westbrook Christian.

Camden Matthews finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Scottsboro (5-5) against Westbrook Christian while Peyton Grant was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Reed Latimer had doubled and drove in a run. Christian Herberholz had a single and an RBI and Kyle Murphy had a single.

Against Russellville, Grant finished 2-for-2 with a double while Matthews, Murphy and Ethan Wininger all singled.
