Jackson County Girls Basketball Player of the Year

Pisgah's Annie Hughes, the ASWA's 2019 Miss Basketball, has been named the Jackson County Basketball Coaches Association's 2018-19 Jackson County Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

Pisgah's Annie Hughes has been named the 2018-19 Jackson County Basketball Coaches Association's Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

Hughes, an Auburn signee who was the state's Miss Basketball and the Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year, was named Jackson County's MVP for the third straight season.

Meanwhile, Pisgah head coach Carey Ellison was the county's coach of the year after leading the Eagles to the second straight Class 3A state championship.
