Scottsboro had four athletes post event state runner-up finishes in early action Friday at the Class 4A-5A State Indoor Championships on Friday.

Isabella Noble was the state runner-up in the Class 4A-5A girls 3200-meter run (11:51.16), as was Aaliyah Scott-Sexton in the girls shot put (25-02.50).

Meanwhile, Hayden Judge posted a state runner-up finish in the Class 4A-5A boys 1600 (9:50.63) while eighth-grader Maddox Hamm was the state runner-up in the boys pole vault (12 feet, 6 inches).

Scottsboro’s Christian Hamm finished fourth (12 feet) in the pole vault while Alex Cantrell was fourth in the triple jump (40-04) and Cooper Atkins was ninth in the 3200. Isabel Wynn finished fifth (34-01.75) and Emma Hancock 12th (32-02.00) in the girls triple jump while McCall Chandler was ninth seventh (12:37.02) in the girls 3200.

Scottsboro was leading in the girls and boys standings after three events. The meet resumes Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Birmingham Crossplex.
