Kaylynn Morgan and Pisgah finished eighth in the Fairview invitational.

The Pisgah cross country teams held a pair of eights on Saturday.

Both the PHS girls and boys teams posted eighth-place finishes in the Fairview Invitational’s Class 1A-4A race divisions.

The Pisgah girls closed with a team score of 186. Ashville won the race title with a winning low score of 66, followed closely by J.B. Pennington (79) and Hatton (83). 

Rhylee Bell led the Eagles with a 25th-place finish (23:44.35) in the 5K race while Kaylynn Morgan was 29th (24:09.08), Riley Grider 40th (24:38.29), Serenity Olinger 46th (24:58.36), Kaylea Griffis 48th (25:03.11), Jazmine Wilson 59th (25:51.58), Lauren Allbritton 97th (28:58.49), Korin Brock 98th (29:00.16), Sarah Grace Gamble 99th (29:-8.56), Kimberly Miller 108th (30:11.60), Amanda Davidson 117th (31:19.57) and Addison Goff 123rd (32:27.01). In the junior varsity girls two-mile race, Kinsley Phillips finished 35th (19:54.55).

Meanwhile, Pisgah finished eighth in the varsity boys 1A-4A race with 206 points. White Plains won the race title with 37 points.

Tanner Baine was Pisgah’s top finisher, running the 5K race in a time if 18:44.10. Tristan Little followed in 35th-place (19:06.19) for the Eagles while Zach Cornelison was 39th (19:19.37) , Trey Barrentine 71st (20:40.71), Bryant Overdear 73rd (20:52.17), Austin Wilson 83rd (21:17.54), Jake Smith 94th (21:47.52), Bob Johnson 102nd (22:10.78), Mason Overdear 103rd (22:11.45), Austin Mabry 165th (27:07.46), Holden Goff 166th (27:10.58), Bailey Johnson 175th (29:12.85) and Alex Elizondo 190th (34:05.86).

Pisgah runs in the Southern Showcase at Huntsville’s John Hunt Park on Saturday at 8 a.m.
