Two Scottsboro Swim Association swimmers recently posted solid performances during the 2018 ISCA International Junior Championships.

Scottsboro’s Kyle Vosen and Maggie Robbins competed in various races at the meet at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Vosen, a recent SHS graduate and a four-time AHSAA state champion swimmer, improved on his finishes at the Junior Championships from the previous year in which he placed in the Top 16.

This season, the Drury University (Missouri) signee swam in the 200-yard individual medley, the 100- and 200-yard backstroke and the 50-yard freestyle.

Despite not being 100-percent healthy due to injuries, Vosen turned in new personal records in the 200-yard IM (1:53.14) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.93).

Robbins, 14, swam against competition up to 18 years of age in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle, the 100-yard fly and the 50-yard backstroke. She posted a Top-25 finish in the 50-yard Freestyle with a new personal record time of 27.64 seconds.
