The Pisgah cross country teams posted a pair of top-10 finishes during Saturday's St. Clair County Invitational in Odenville.

Pisgah finished fourth in the varsity girls standings with a team score of 67. 

Ashville won the title with a low score of 34 points, followed by Northridge (52) and Prattville(61) second and third respectively.

Lauren Peek led the Pisgah charge, placing ninth with a time of 25:54.90. Cecilia Garner finished 13th (26:29.82) while Rhylee Bell was 19th (26:55.98), Briley Hembree 21st (27:12.16), Emma Ellison 27th (28:07.59), Katie Guffey 30th (28:48.17), Taylor McBride 32nd (29:29.74) and Kurstyn Stewart 45th (45:20.70).

Meanwhile, Pisgah posted a seventh-place finish in varsity boys standings with 139 points. The Eagles were just 22 points away from fourth-place Prattville. 

Class 5A Springville won the varsity boys division championship with a winning low score of 36 points.

Zach Cornelison paced the Eagles with a 16th-place finish (20:26.09) while Tanner Baine was 19th (20:29.31), Garrett Ellison 25th (20:48.08), Trey Barrentine 42nd (22:27.10), Dalton Wilson 46th (22:51.98), Hunter Montgomery 73rd (25:30.54), Holden Goff 79th (26:15.87) and Bailey Johnson 92nd (28:14.10).

In the junior high girls two-mile race, Pisgah's Annalisse Barnhill finished 18th (19:01.40) while Morgan McBride was 19th (19:05.94), Kimberly Miller 20th (19:10.86), Gracie McKee 25th (20:12.74), Addison Goff 29th (20:48.32) and Kinsley Phillips 33rd (22:48.34). Jake Smith finished 28th (15:47.53), Brody Giles 38th (17:38.58) and Blake Giles 49th (19:11.41)

Skyline runs in Oxford races — Skyline finished 18th in the varsity boys 5K race at the 12th annual Waffle House/Yellow Jacket Invitational at Choccolocco Park in Oxford on Saturday. The Vikings posted a team score of 475.

Nathan Olinger led the Skyline effort with a 68th-place finish (21:21.57) while Kordell Talley was 97th (22:58.86), Hank Utter 103rd (23:09.14), Bryant Kennamer 136th (24:29.98) and Tristan Roach 144th (224:59.20).

In the junior varsity boys race, Trever Saint finished 37th (23:43.28) for Skyline while JT Hastings was 73rd (28:16.61), Levi Wilkinson 74th (28:20.67), Sam Utter 83rd (20:47.76) and Daniel Olinger 94th (40:20.71).

Meanwhile, Skyline's Kaylee Saint finished 91st in the varsity girls race (30:17.85) while Joslyn Boatwright placed 40th (31:25.02), Rebekah Anderson 55th (33:40.18), Kadence Warren 61st (34:38.97) and Lauren Woodall 69th (38:23.40) in the junior varsity girls race.
