The Pisgah volleyball team even its record on the season with a tri-match sweep.
The Eagles posted a pair of best-of-three sweeps of Scottsboro and Dade County (Georgia) on Thursday at Pisgah High School.
Pisgah (5-5) opened the tri-match with a 25-15, 25-20 win over Dade County.
Molly Heard posted seven kills and one block and Ashley Shrader had six kills and one block for the Eagles while Emma Ellison had three kills and two blocks, Amber Shrader had three aces and one kill, Bella Bobo had one ace and one kill and Hannah Duncan had two aces.
The Eagles defeated Scottsboro 25-19, 25-12.
Heard had 13 kills and four blocks for Pisgah, which also got two kills from Ashley Shrader, one kill and one block from Amber Shrader, one ace and two blocks from Duncan and Bobo had one block.
NSM falls to Ider — At Higdon, North Sand Mountain dropped a best-of-five Class 2A Area 15 match against visiting Ider on Thursday.
NSM (0-2, 0-2 in area play) fell 25-9, 25-15, 25-23 to the Hornets, who improved to 2-0 in area play.
Macy Smith recorded five points, two aces and 37 digs and Harley Boyd totaled five points, one kill and seven digs for NSM while Briley Bynum recorded one point, one kill and 16 digs and Jayce Weldon had two kill and two solo blocks. Jessi Weldon had one point and six blocks while Ellie Johnson had three aces, Jayla Higdon had three points, one ace and six digs and Shelby Preston had three points and eight digs.
