Abraham Castro helped North Jackson finish 11th at the James Clemens meet.

North Jackson cross country runners got a look on Saturday at the course it will run in the postseason.

North Jackson girls and boys runners ran the course at Palmer Park in Madison during the James Clemens Last Chance Invitational.

The course is the site of the Class 4A Section Meet 4 on Oct. 31.

North Jackson finished 11th in the junior varsity boys 5K race with 299 points. Huntsville had the winning low score of 24 with Father Ryan (Tennessee) finishing second (42) and Florence third (95). 

Abraham Castro led the North Jackson effort, finishing 52nd with a time of 19:33.47. Andrew Feigel finished 113th (21:11.52) while Alex Roper was 128th (21:31.05), Edgar Sanchez 182nd (23:31.15), Jay Yates 208th (24:33.96), Daniel Feigel 222nd (26:17.80) and Will Rich 237th (27:45.75).

Running as individuals in the junior varsity girls 5K race, North Jackson’s Delana Pierce finished 30th (24:00.74) while Emily Gilley placed 48th (25:37.67).

North Jackson is scheduled to run its final regular-season race on Thursday at the Scottsboro Last Chance Invitational (5 p.m.).
