Pisgah head coach Carey Ellison and player Annie Hughes were part of Alabama's 101-82 win in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game Friday in Montgomery.

Pisgah’s Annie Hughes helped the state of Alabama get a win over neighbor Mississippi.

The Auburn signee scored 10 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots to help the Alabama All-Stars defeated Mississippi 101-82 Friday night at Alabama State University in Montgomery. Hughes also had one assist and one rebound.

Also part of the victory was Pisgah head coach Carey Ellison, who served as an assistant coach on the Alabama team.

Hughes, a two-time State Tournament MVP and the Gatorade Alabama Girls Basketball Player of the Year, finished 2-0 in AHSAA all-star games. She was the North MVP in last summer’s North-South All-Star game victory.
