The Scottsboro varsity boys swim team made it a clean sweep at a four-team dual meet.
The SHS boys defeated Hazel Green 50-28, Westminster Christian 47-43 and Guntersville 48.50-30.50.
Meanwhile, the SHS girls defeated Hazel Green 58-15 but fell 77-15 to Westminster Christian and 55-32 to Guntersville.
The dual meet was held Thursday night at the Scottsboro Rec*Com.
The SHS boys won four of the 11 events. Kyle Vosen won the 200-yard Individual Medley (2:00.04) and the 100-yard Butterfly (54.28 seconds) while Tony Pereira won the 50-yard Freestyle (23.06).
Vosen, Pereira, Tanner Gossett and Will Rogers teamed up to give Scottsboro a victory in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay (1:41.92). They also posted a runner-up finish in the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:56.10) while Gabriel Lyle, Por Saengklieng, Marco Birnfeld and Juan Gomez teamed up to finish fifth (2:12.15). Lyle, Jake Vance, Quenton Cox and Zac Cushman turned in a second-place finish for the Wildcats in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay (5:36.18).
Pereira also finished second in the 100-yard Butterfly (57.12) while Rogers had a second-place finish in the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:19.56). Vance finished fourth in the 100-yard Backstroke (1:40.55) for Scottsboro while Cox finished fifth in the 200-yard Individual Medley (3:32.03) and Rogers was fifth in the 50-yard Freestyle (28.88). Lyle finished fifth (1:15.78) and Cushman was sixth (1:22.36) in the 100-yard Freestyle while Gossett was fifth in the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:22.90).
The SHS girls’ top finish was a runner-up finish in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay. Cheyenne Vincent, Kaitlin Rossmeier, Jessica Vincent and Olyvia Stone teamed up for a second-place finish (1:57.63).
Jessica Vincent finished third in the 500-yard Freestyle (6:18.64) and fourth in the 50-yard Freestyle (28.34) for Scottsboro while Stone finished third in the 50-yard Freestyle (27.27 ) and fourth in the 200-yard IM (2:29.33). Paige Giles finished third in the 100-yard Butterfly (1:17.85) and Cheyenne Vincent (1:12.82) and Bailey McLaughlin (1:1980) finished fourth and seventh respectively in the 100-yard Backstroke while Maddy Childress (1:14.53) and Sarah Vance (1:14.73) finished fifth and sixth respectively in the 100-yard Freestyle. Grayson Gattis (1:29.69) and Rossmeier (1:34.01) finished sixth and seventh in the 100-yard Breaststroke.
Scottsboro had three top-seven finishers in the 200-yard Medley Relay. Jessica Vincent, Cheyenne Vincent, Olyvia Stone and Kat Sanders teamed up for a third-place finish (207.21) while Giles, Gattis, Childress and McLaughlin were fourth (2:21.77) and Sarah Vance, Shelton McCormack, Mary Cook and Makenna Worley (2:35.11) were seventh.
