A number of Pisgah football players have been honored for their efforts in region play last season.
Seven players were named Class 3A All-Region 7 while three more received honorable mention honors.
The region’s head coaches formed the team.
Pisgah junior linebacker Cameron Free was Region Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player with Plainview defensive lineman Ashley Spigner while Susan Moore quarterback Andrew McEvoy was the Offensive MVP and Geraldine running back/free safety Andrew Hall was the Region’s Player of the Year.
Free finished the regular seasons with 95 tackles, second-most in Jackson County this past season.
Also garnering all-region honors for the Eagles were senior offensive lineman Logan Allison, Chandler Patterson and Cameron McCrary, senior defensive back Nick Feltman, senior linebacker Wyatt Whisenant and senior wide receiver Carson Wheeler.
Feltman was fourth in tackles for the Eagles with 52, and he also returned an interception for a touchdown in Pisgah’s 13-0 win over New Hope.
Whisenant finished with 31 tackles and two interceptions while Wheeler lead the Eagles with 14 catches for 382 yards and five touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Pisgah offensive lineman Kade Griffith and running backs Kyle Young and John Barrett were honorable mentions. Barrett rank for 754 yards and five touchdowns on 122 carries while Young had 493 yards and three scores on 72 carries.
