The Pisgah volleyball team continued its undefeated start to the 2019 season.

Pisgah improved to 4-0 by sweeping a best-of-five match with host North Jackson Tuesday afternoon in Stevenson. The Eagles won each game 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Molly Heard recorded 12 kills and 11 service points for Pisgah while Chloe Womack had five kills. Bella Bobo totaled 13 assists and eight service points while Hannah Duncan had 11 service points and seven aces. Shalyn Smith notched 10 service points and Karlee Holcomb had six.


North Jackson 3, NSM 1 — At Stevenson, the Chiefs posted the win over North Sand Mountain 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Jasmine Higdon had 14 kills, three aces and two solo blocks for NSM while Macy Smith had six kills, eight digs and four aces and Harley Boyd had three kills, three digs and one ace. 

Shelby Preston recorded 10 assists while Briley Bynum had three aces and Jaycee Weldon had one kill.


Pisgah 3, Scottsboro 1 — At Scottsboro, Pisgah won three straight games after dropping Game 1 to win the best-of-five match at Carter Gymnasium.

After losing Game 1, 25-19, the Eagles took the next three 25-20, 25-15, 25-18.

Bella Bobo closed with 14 assists and 13 service points for Pisgah and Molly Heard recorded 12 kills and 15 service points while Hannah Duncan had 11 service points and Chloe Womack had eight.


Ider 3, NSM 0 — At Ider, the home team swept NSM during a best-of-five Class 2A Area 15 match.

Macy Smith had 11 digs and one kill for the Bison and Jasmine Higdon had three kills and one solo block. 

NSM also got two kills from Emily Barnes, one kill each from Shelby Preston and Jaycee Weldon and one ace from Jayla Higdon.
