Robson Copenhaver won the 2019 Goose Pond Colony Invitational title after shooting a 3-under par 69 in Round 2.

Robson Copenhaver used a strong second round to win the 2019 Goose Pond Colony Invitational.

The Scottsboro golfer shot a 3-under par 69 to win the tournament with a two-round score of 5-under 139 at the Goose Pond Colony Lake Course on Sunday.

Copenhaver trailed Seth Foshee of Bridgeport by two strokes entering Sunday’s second round. Foshee shot a 4-under par 68 in Saturday’s opening round while Copenhaver shot 2-under 70. Foshee shot a 1-over 73 in Round 2 and finished second with a two-round total of 3-under par 141.

Cody Godfrey finished third in the Championship Flight with a 3-over par 147 while Jon Brady Sandlin and Jonathan Bailey tied for fourth at 7-over par 151 and Levi Shelton finished sixth with a 17-over par 161.

Lary Clark won the Senior A Flight with a two-round score of 6-under par 138. He shot a 5-under 67 in Round 2. Alan Looney finished second in the Senior A Flight (1-under 143) while Bobby Talley was third (even par 144), David Wilson fourth (145), Danny Hancock fifth (149), Bobby Locklear sixth (150) and James Kean seventh (154).

Darrell Yockell won the Senior B Flight with a 5-over 149. David Smelly was second (155) while Becil Baldwin was third (161), Guy Devaney fourth (163) and Benny Shepard fifth (171).

Mike Williams shot a 5-under 67 in Round 2 on his way to winning the First Flight with a 3-under par 141. Adam Lamar was second (146), Zach Belvin third (146), Ronnie White fourth (146), Jordan White fifth (149), Lee Casselberry sixth (152) and Ricky Whitehead seventh (155).

Mike Cassidy won the Second Flight with a 5-over par 149. Jacob Lamar finished second (153) while Eric Truitt was third (154), Josh White fourth (156), Bryan Haynes and Brian Smith fifth (162) and James Parrett sixth (164).

Stacy Willis won the Third Flight with a 17-over 161. Cecil Yates was second (162), John Michael Emerson and John Austin Dolberry tied for third (164), Brian Jones fifth (167), Marty Martin sixth (168), John Gattis seventh (170), Ray Anderson eighth (179) and Chase Berry ninth (186).
