The Scottsboro seventh-grade boys basketball team held off a fellow Jackson Count team to post its 12th win of the season.

The Wildcats took an early lead and made it last during a 52-43 win over visiting Section Thursday night.

Scottsboro led 15-13 after one quarter, 28-24 at halftime and 40-34 after three quarters.

Scottsboro had three players score in double figures, as Jake Jones and Tyler Shelton both netted 14 points and Trip Nelson pitched in 13. The Wildcats also got seven points from Jake Scott and four from Luke Latham.

Scottsboro 48, DAR 8 — At Grant, visiting Scottsboro outscored DAR 11-0 in the first quarter on the way to the win Monday night.

Scottsboro led 11-0, 26-3 and 43-6 at the quarter breaks.

Jarrett Scott led Scottsboro with 12 points while Jake Jones netted 11, Skylar Wharton eight and Brady Strickland five.
