The Fairview football program finally broke through against North Jackson.
After losing its first 13 games against the Chiefs, the Aggies got their first win against North Jackson with a 47-7 Class 4A Region 7 victory Friday night.
Fairview (4-2, 3-1), fresh off a bye week, dominated from start to finish inside Dafford Smith Stadium.
Parker Martin’s 8-yard touchdown run in the first quarter gave Fairview a 6-0 lead.
The Aggies’ lead only grew from there.
Martin tossed a 35-yard touchdown strike to JT White to make it 12-0 before Tyler Simmons notched a 1-yard touchdown run to put the home squad in front 19-0. Martin's third touchdown of the first half — a 5-yard pass to Mason Black — propelled the Aggies to a 26-point halftime lead.
Tyvn Ellis (46 and 51 yards) and Black (5 yards) added touchdown dashes in the second half.
Fairview is off to its best region start since 2012.The Purple and Gold will host West Morgan next Friday night.
Carter Gass had a 2-yard touchdown run for North Jackson (1-5, 1-3) in the fourth quarter and Abraham Castro kicked the PAT.
Johnny Gilliam rushed for 146 yards on 20 carries for North Jackson. Dalton Morris was 10-of-23 passing for 141 yards while Gass caught four passes for 91 yards.
The Chiefs host Priceville next week for Homecoming.
